Our work runs from the process and the code down to the database and the infrastructure. We read the whole system, so a fault is traced to where it starts, not to where it shows.
The three layers
Every Odoo system has three layers. They are easy to tell apart, and none of them works alone.
Business
The business layer is how your company actually works. It covers quotes, orders, purchasing, stock, production, service, payroll and the books, with the people and the rules behind them. It exists before any software does. Our work here is to understand the process before we change the system. Business first. Code second.
Application
The application layer is Odoo itself. It covers the apps and configuration, the custom modules built on top, the automation, and the integrations to the other systems your business uses. This is where a process becomes software.
Platform
The platform layer is where Odoo runs. It is the servers or the cloud account, the PostgreSQL database, backups, monitoring and logging, and the path a change takes from Git to production. This is what keeps the software running and recoverable.
