01 / 07Connect

Reliable data flows, not fragile scripts.

Your business does not run on Odoo alone. Connect is the work of making the other systems exchange data with Odoo in a way both sides can rely on.

When you need it

  • People retype orders, stock or prices from one system into another.
  • An integration stops, and the first to notice is a customer.
  • The shop, the warehouse and accounting show different numbers for the same thing.
  • A machine or an internal system behind the firewall has to exchange data with Odoo.
  • Another ERP stays in the group, and Odoo has to work beside it.

Application

Connect.

Beside Odoo there is an online shop, a carrier, a bank, a warehouse system, a machine on the shop floor, sometimes another ERP.

An integration is easy to start and hard to keep reliable. A script that copies an order from one system to another works on the first day. The engineering is in what happens when the other side is slow, answers twice, or does not answer at all.

We design each flow for that. Synchronous where the process must wait for an answer, asynchronous where it should not.

What we do

  • Connect Odoo to external ERPs, e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, carriers, payment providers, banks, WMS, BI platforms and production systems.
  • Reach systems behind your firewall over secure outbound connections, opened from inside your network.
  • Build queues and retries for the moments when one side is down.
  • Make processing idempotent where it matters, so a message delivered twice does not become two orders.
  • Reconcile both sides and report the differences.
  • Monitor the flows, so a failure is seen when it happens.

How it connects

An integration carries a business process across systems: an order, a shipment, a payment, a stock level. Before we build, we agree which system owns each record and what should happen when a message fails. The areas involved are on the Odoo page.

On the application layer, a custom module on the Odoo side belongs to Build & customize. The scheduled and event-driven processing behind a flow belongs to Automate.

On the platform layer, queues, workers and monitoring need somewhere to run. That is Run. A change to an integration reaches production through Deploy. An integration that already fails is a case for Rescue.
